Tatjana Petkovska Mircevska was born in Skopje. She graduated from the Faculty of Economics, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje in 1989. As the best student in her generation, she won the “July 26th” award from the Frank Harcord Manning Foundation from London.

In 1993 she obtained her Master’s degree, and in 1998 received her Ph.D. degree from the Faculty of Economics, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, with which she earned the academic degree Doctor of economic sciences.

In the period from1989 to 1994 she was employed as a professor in the secondary school “Cvetan Dimov” in Skopje. In 1994 she joined the Institute of Economics, within the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University, where she is continuously acquiring all academic titles. In 2007 she earned the highest scientific title – scientific advisor, and in 2012 she obtained the highest academic title – full time professor.

She was elected a member of the University Senate of UKIM twice: from 2008 to 2012 and from 2012 to 2016. In 2012 she was elected as a member of the Interuniversity conference of Republic of Macedonia by the University Senate.

Dr. Tatjana Petkovska Mircevska has been actively involved in the teaching process of the first, second and third cycle of studies at the Institute of Economics, at a unit of UKIM and other universities in the country. In the academic year of 1998/99 she taught in the first cycle of studies at the Faculty of Economics at the St.Kliment Ohridski University of Bitola (subject: Marketing Information System). In the period 2006-2009, she taught in the first and second cycle of studies at the University American College in Skopje (subjects in the field of Marketing). From the academic 2013/2014 year, she has been engaged in the first cycle of studies at the Faculty of Economics (subject: International Marketing) as well as at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics – Institute of Geography within UKIM (subject: Marketing in Tourism).

She is a mentor and member of commissions on postgraduate and doctoral theses at the Institute, at units of the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje and at the St.Kliment Ohridski University of Bitola.

As of 2011/12 she is Head of the second cycle of studies of the Entrepreneurship study program and Head of the Department of Education at the Institute of Economics.

As a participant and main researcher, she has actively participated in the development of many scientific, professional and application projects, such as: Evaluation of user satisfaction and impact from the е-government services in Macedonia and Slovenia (bilateral project with Republic of Slovenia), The Failure of the labor market in Macedonia: a labor demand analysis (CERGE-EI), Economic Growth of Macedonia-experiences and policy recommendations (Global development network - GDN), Implementation of new educational programs (Tempus-JEP), Multi-Country Trade Development Programme (Phare) and others. She was member of the working group for developing the Export strategy for software and IT industry in Republic of Macedonia (GТZ, MASIT) in 2012 and member of the expert group for developing the Broadcasting strategy in the Republic of Macedonia (OBSE, TAIEX-EU) for the period 2007-2012.

Dr. Tatjana Petkovska Mircevska has participated in numerous scientific meetings and international conferences. She has published several scientific and professional papers in renowned international scientific journals, as well as textbooks in the field of International Marketing and Marketing Research.

She undertook a study visit to the University of Bologna, Italy in 2000 and 2001. For the realization of the project “Multi-Country Trade Development Programme”, she did an internship at the Hungarian Investment and Trade Development Agency in Budapest, Hungary in 1999 on the recommendation of the Ministry of Trade of Republic of Macedonia.

As of 2005, she is a member of the Scientific Board of the international journal Revista Amfiteatru Economic from Romania. She actively participated in the establishment and in the activities of the Association of economic institutes of south-east Europe (SEEA). She takes part in the global network of researchers Global Development Network (GDN) and Europe and Balkans International Network (EBIN).

Since September 2016 she was elected at the position Director of the Institute of Economics.
