Brief biography about Snezana Kostadinoska-Miloseska Ph. D

 

Snezana Kostadinoska-Miloseska was born in 1961 in Kicevo. In 1984, she graduated from the Faculty of Economics, University “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje, and subsequently completed the postgraduate studies at the Department of Economic Development with methods of economic analysis. She obtained a master degree in 1999 upon public defense of the master thesis “Characteristics and prospects of the foreign exchange market in the Republic of Macedonia”. In 2004, at the Institute of Economics – Skopje, she defended her doctoral dissertation “Local Finance of the Republic of Macedonia” and obtained Ph.D. in Economics.

From 2001, she has been working at the Institute of Economics, University “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje, and current she is appointed Full-time professor of Fiscal Economics. In the period 2006-2009, she was appointed State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance and performed other government activities related to the position. During this period, and afterwards, she actively participated in designing and implementing key financial reforms in the country, and reforms in health and public administration. As of 2011, she has been a member of the Commission for protection of competition of the Republic of Macedonia.

Besides applied projects, she has actively participated in the preparation of research projects and scientific meetings, conferences, seminars, congresses and symposia in the country and abroad. She teaches at second cycle study programs at the Institute of Economics -Skopje. She is an author of numerous works, among which: “Study on financial management improvements in the local self-government units in the Republic of Macedonia” and the “Blue Ribbon Report for Macedonia”, published by UNDP-Macedonia; “Financial convergence of the Republic of Macedonia with the European Union”,Possibilities for efficiency improvement in the implementation of EU funds in RM”, “Characteristics of the public debt of the Republic of Macedonia”, published by the Economic Institute-Skopje.
