Brief biography about Vladimir Petkovski Ph.D.

 

Vladimir Petkovski, Ph.D. was born in Skopje in 1986. In 2009, he graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the University “Ss. Cyril and Methodius”, in the field of financial management on the topic “Portfolio analysis of shares from official and unofficial market”. In 2011, he received a master’s degree from the Institute of Economics – Skopje in the field of Financial Management on the topic “Estimated value of the company versus its stock market value.” In 2013 he received his Ph.D. from the Institute of Economics – Skopje on the topic “Financial capacity of the municipalities in the Republic of Macedonia – opportunities, practices and solutions for improvement”, which earned him the scientific title of Doctor of Economics.

In the period from 2011 to 2012, he was hired as a lecturer and research assistant at the Faculty of Business Economics. In 2013, he was employed at the Institute of Economics – Skopje as an assistant to be elected in 2015 as an assistant professor in the field of Economics, main research area Economics of Development. In the same field, he was elected associate professor in 2020. In the period from 2011, he designed and managed projects of UNDP, OSCE, Eptisa, UN, Erasmus +, several ministries and local governments and the Government of the Republic of Macedonia.

He has participated in numerous scientific research meetings in the field of Financial Management and Economic Development and has published more than 30 scientific research and professional papers in the country and abroad on the same topics. As a trainer and guest lecturer, he was invited to present topics from Economic Development and Social Economy at more than 15 international projects and universities in Europe.
