Brief biography about Aleksandra Lozanoska Ph. D.

 

Aleksandra Lozanoska was born 1978 in Skopje. She graduated in 2001 from the Faculty of Economics in Skopje. In 2007, she obtained a master’s degree from the Institute of Economics – Skopje, University “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje, Department of International Economics, upon defense of the master thesis “The educational structure of population and labor force and its importance for economic development of the Republic of Macedonia”. In October 2013, at the Institute of Economics – Skopje, she defended the doctoral dissertation “Socio-economic aspects of unemployment and the employment policies in the Republic of Macedonia”.

Since 2002, she has been working at the Institute of Economics – Skopje and has actively participated in research and applied projects, on numerous scientific meetings and conferences in the country and abroad, has participated in realization of trainings and providing consultant services in her fields of interest. As an Associate Professor, at the second cycle study programs of the Institute of Economics – Skopje she teaches courses in Economic policy, Labor economics; Public-private partnership etc., as well as on the doctoral studies in Economic sciences on the course: Economy of the human resources and on the doctoral studies in Organizational sciences and management on the course: Contemporary aspects of labor market functioning.

She is an author and co-author of numerous scientific papers, among which the books: Peculiarities of the active and inactive younger population in Macedonia – current situation and challenges; Employees’ skills for competitiveness of SMEs; Book chapter:  Quality of life in the Republic of North Macedonia seen through the human development indicators; papers: How is COVID-19 reshaping temporary and circular labor migration: Serbia and North Macedonia perspectives; Impact of Digitalization on the Labor Market: The Case of North Macedonia.

Lozanoska is elected for senator from the Institute of Economics-Skopje in the University Senate of UKIM, for the mandate period 2021-2023. She is a co-head of the study program for Managerial Economics at the second cycle of studies in the Institute of Economics-Skopje. Also, she was engaged as local consultant on the projects: HERMAC model – Labor market predictions and strategic decisions in the areas of education, employment and social policy, Ministry of labor and social policy of North Macedonia; and Strengthening the municipal councils-trainings for the module: Human resource management in the municipalities, project for AFO and UNDP.
